Whether its' a fixed notion or clarity of image, this word resolution, seems to me to represent purpose of intent.
The Cambridge dictionary states; Resolution: "an official decision...a promise...determination." As an image, it states: "the ability....to show things clearly and with a lot of detail."
I'm the kind of person who is more likely to make a decision & act only after much thought, research and pondering/meditating first. This very much reflects in my baking, making and cooking. I like a challenge and have found in these times, that eating healthy is just that! There are so many foods available to choose from. The most convenient and readily available are not likely to be the healthiest for me. The challenge for me was to make 'healthy foods", packed with nutritionally beneficial ingredients that taste amazing, and make them readily available.
Abstract cafe have such foods...but there's not enough room in our menus, on our counters or up on our walls to detail the benefits of all the ingredients packed in our treats. In this blog this year, I hope to do just that.
...and I'm going to start with our Golden Mylk.
*notes- there are various types of cinnamon. It comes from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum tree and has many benifits.
The good news is...Ceylon cinnamon's levels are at such trace amounts that it is undetectable. It is by far, the preferred one to use!
Below are links to varying opinions:
** When containing your Golden Mylk, it is very important to thoroughly sterilize! I use glass bottles and after thoroughly washing with detergent, I then fill with water that has boiled for at least 6 minutes. This ensures sterilisation and helps make your batch last longer...hopefully up to a week (if you haven't dunk it by then:)
JUST SOME BENEFITS OF:
My first attempt at blogging and hoping I don't bore, offend or ramble. Can't promise though ;}
The main reason I'm starting this blog page is to share some recipes.
The other reason is to share hints and revelations. The" hints" are what have worked best for me...the "revelations", are what I have discovered through my investigations.
Keeping it a LittLe ABsTraCt!
1st thing I started making for =>
was the coconut yoghurt. Took me a few goes b4 getting to what U can now enjoy eating, from =>
This is how I make it:
You must start with the coconut cream that you like the taste of. The brand Kara, is what I use. Not easy to find retail. Most popular supermarkets stock a good range to choose from. Otherwise try Asian delis. I prefer the cream, rather than milk because no thickeners are needed.
The above is a guild line only and has worked for me. You may want to try searching for other recipes and mix things up a little. Here are a couple of sites I found helpful:
I love the taste of coconut anything, and find the cream rather than it's milk, superior in taste and texture.
Always research anything your not sure about until you are :)
Blessings, and happy eating :-*
